Is it possible to add a Dataforseo 'Custom Function' in OpenAI Assistants?

Hi team, loving your work!

I wanted to know if its possible to build a function call in an assistant in OpenAI that will call a function of DataForSEO? the idea would be to build a chatbot assistant that can help a user find the right keyword, do competitor analysis all through natural language, using the DataForSEO api as the data set ?

    Yes, it is possible. You need to have your function return just the data points you need to the LLM, otherwise, you might exceed your token allowance.

    For example, I parse just texts from primary_content and secondary_content when using the on_page/content_parsing/live endpoint and then send it as a list to the LLM.

    Hello, nice question!

    The team played with it last year, and a primary challenge we encountered is the extensive length of DataForSEO API responses, which often exceeds ChatGPT's limitations :(

    In theory, it is possible but we would need to make it possible to make the API responses shorter to return only the necessary data/items. We are open to collaborate on this. We just need an idea which API endpoints you want to add and which data from them is needed from them. You can contact me directly if you do not want to share with the public :)
